Our Mission
Chris is the founder and filmmaker behind Stills in Motion. He grew up on a farm in rural Waikato, where he developed a deep love for the outdoors and adventure. Throughout his twenties, Chris explored a wide range of experiences. Working as a farmhand, builder, scuba diving instructor, and yacht deckhand while traveling parts of the globe.
With a camera always in hand, Chris discovered his passion for videography, capturing his experiences and sharing stories. Over time, this passion evolved into filmmaking, shaping the philosophy behind Stills in Motion: telling meaningful stories that truly matter.
Chris has a strong appreciation for culture, community, sports, adventure, and sustainability. In a world saturated with media and constant consumption, he aims to highlight stories that inspire and have a positive impact. Giving people and projects doing good on this planet the chance to be seen and heard.
Known for his cool and calm approach on set, Chris puts people at ease, helping them feel comfortable in front of the camera. He prides himself on his problem-solving skills and has a natural talent for crafting compelling stories that resonate.
