YOUTUBE AND REALITY

JE WILDS YOUTUBE HUNTING VIDEOS

I was brought on to film a hunting trip at Freerange Hunting New Zealand on the Wairarapa coast with JE Wilds, producing two YouTube videos that captured the full story of the experience. It required striking the balance between staying close enough to document the action while remaining completely unobtrusive so I didn’t jeopardise the hunt, something I took seriously and executed with care.

I also handled the rough-cut editing, shaping the footage into a compelling narrative.

The results speak for themselves: the two videos have now accumulated over 350,000 views and continue to grow.

JE WILD HUNT FOR THE UNICORN

Hunt for the Unicorn is a film by JE Wilds, where I worked as the primary Director of Photography, operating both camera and audio in remote coastal locations around New Zealand.

TANE TARLTON

Since its inception, I have played a major role in shaping and growing Tane Tarlton’s YouTube project. A mission to circumnavigate New Zealand in a lifeboat while documenting 52 ocean conservation initiatives around the coastline. Through cinematic storytelling and strategic content creation, the channel has grown to over 6,500 subscribers and generated more than 200,000 views across its first six videos in 2026. Working as Director, Director of Photography, and Editor, I have been involved in every stage of production, from concept development and pre-production through to shooting, directing talent, and crafting the final stories in post-production. Combining underwater, aerial, and topside cinematography with authentic storytelling, the project reflects my passion for creating meaningful films that connect adventure, conservation, and people.

STEWART ISLAND YOUTUBE ADVENTURE VIDEO

I created this video during a trip to the remote and isolated Stewart Island. Combining my love for the outdoors with my skills in underwater, topside, aerial filming, and storytelling, I crafted a cinematic adventure piece that resonated strongly with viewers.

The video gained close to 40,000 views on YouTube and is still growing. Not bad for Advenchur’s first vlog!
