THE STORY

Steezy Kiwi is a New Zealand brand creating high-quality rooftop tents and camping equipment, built for getting people outside and exploring the country.

Founder Cullum came to me wanting to share the story behind the brand and, more importantly, build trust with the person behind the products. Rather than creating a traditional product advertisement, I approached the project as a brand documentary combining the story of Cullum and his passion for the outdoors with the products he has built the business around.

Shot over two days in New Zealand's backyard, the film puts the rooftop tent through some of the country's most challenging conditions. We filmed through rain, wind, snow and sunshine, while showcasing the durability, practicality and freedom the tents can provide.

At the heart of the story was Cullum's reason for starting Steezy Kiwi in the first place: helping people get outdoors and experience more of New Zealand.

By combining the product with the person and purpose behind the brand, the film created something that felt authentic rather than purely promotional. The documentary ultimately helped build trust with potential customers and contributed directly to sales for Steezy Kiwi.
